This page is for homeowners whose pool pump is not working the way it should. The pump may not turn on, may not prime, may sound loud, may leak, or may stop moving enough water through the pool.
You do not need to know the exact cause before you book. Pump symptoms can come from the pump itself, the motor, air in the system, filter pressure, valves, timers, automation, wiring at the equipment pad, or other visible equipment issues. The repair diagnosis helps sort that out before you approve repair work.
The pump does not turn on, starts and stops, hums, or seems completely dead.
Book DiagnosisThe pump runs but will not fill with water or keeps losing prime after it starts.
Text a PhotoThe pump sounds louder than normal, screeches, grinds, rattles, or vibrates.
Book DiagnosisReturns feel weak, the skimmer is not pulling well, or the pool does not seem to circulate.
Text a PhotoYou see water around the pump, lid, unions, fittings, drain plugs, or equipment pad.
Book DiagnosisThe pump skips its schedule, ignores controls, or seems tied to automation.
Text a PhotoPool pump repair pricing depends on what is wrong, what parts are needed, and whether the pump can be repaired or should be replaced. That is why we start with a repair diagnosis instead of guessing over the phone.
The repair diagnosis is $149. You pay $74.50 when you schedule. If you approve the repair, that amount is credited toward the work. If you do not proceed, we charge the remaining $74.50 to complete the $149 diagnosis.
Parts, repair labor, replacement equipment, and follow-up work are quoted separately when applicable and only move forward with your approval.
We will not ask you to approve a pump repair or replacement until you understand what we found.
The goal is to understand why the pump is not working normally and give you clear next steps before repair work begins.
We look at whether the pump starts, runs, primes, moves water, or shuts off before the pool can circulate properly.
We check obvious pump-side issues such as the lid, basket, unions, fittings, drain plugs, seals, and visible leaks.
We look for weak flow, pressure changes, air in the system, and circulation trouble that can point to pump or filter issues.
We review visible valves and equipment-pad conditions that may affect how water moves through the system.
We check timers, controls, and automation to see whether they are affecting how and when the pump runs.
We explain whether the next step appears to be repair, replacement, another service, or a specialized trade.
A pump repair diagnosis focuses on visible residential pool equipment and pump-related symptoms. Some problems need a different service or a specialized trade.
If your issue is outside our scope, we will tell you plainly so you can choose the right next step.
Pump symptoms can look like filter problems, plumbing problems, timer problems, salt system problems, or water chemistry issues. These related services may be a better fit depending on what you are seeing.
